Cochise bats show out for sweep of Scottsdale Post Grad
DOUGLAS, Ariz. --- Cochise Baseball returned to action Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader, as they hosted Scottsdale Post Grad. The Apaches were coming off of a recent weekend series win over Central Arizona College.
Tuesday, March 5th (Game 1, 5 innings): Cochise 10, SPG 0
Cochise got going early in the 1st inning, as an Andrugh Yee double brought home T.J. Shaw for the game's first run. Noah Allison followed in the inning with a two-run double of his own. The Apaches got back to work in the 2nd inning, as another RBI double from Yee gave them a 6-0 lead. Tyson Owens joined the party with an opposite field two-run home run in the 3rd. The 10th run of the game came off of Yee's team leading 10th double on the year. Ramses Guerra was perfect in his 3 innings, striking out 6. Ishida and Guzman also provided scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Tuesday, March 5th (Game 2, 5 innings): Cochise 10, SPG 0
The Apaches stayed hot, as they scored in each of the first four innings of game two. Yee once again started the scoring with an RBI-double in the first. Allison followed by driving in Yee with an RBI single. Owens showed off the power once again with his second home run of the day. Allison singled in a run in the 2nd and then later gave Cochise their 10th and final run in the 4th with his first home run of the season. Pitching once again showed no issues, as Sam Pitts started the game, going 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. Quezada, Gomez, and Martins followed in order with a scoreless inning each, and combining for 7 total strikeouts.

Cochise Baseball (20-7, 9-6) will see the road again, as they prepare for a three-game series against Yavapai College (14-7,8-7) on March 8th at 2:00 P.M., and March 9th at 12:00 P.M, for a doubleheader at Roughrider Park in Prescott, Arizona.
