DOUGLAS, Ariz. (October 2025) — Three members of the Cochise College women's soccer team have been recognized among the best in the region following the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Sophomore forward Diana Taddei was named to the NJCAA Region I First Team, while freshmen Ana Velazquez and Chayton Barron were each selected to the Second Team. Diana Taddei – 1st Team All-Region I
Taddei delivered one of the top offensive seasons in program history, recording multiple hat tricks and finishing the regular season ranked 20th nationally in goals scored. Her ability to create and convert under pressure made her the Apaches' most consistent attacking threat throughout the fall campaign. -
Ana Velazquez – 2nd Team All-Region I
A creative playmaker and dynamic finisher, Velazquez scored in several key moments — including a spectacular two-goal performance on Sophomore Day in Cochise's 3-1 win over Yavapai College. Her versatility and energy on the field anchored the Apaches' offensive flow all season. -
Chayton Barron – 2nd Team All-Region I
One of Cochise's most reliable two-way players, Barron contributed both offensively and defensively, netting goals in early-season wins against Trinidad State and Southern Nevada. Her composure and work rate were key to the team's late-season surge.
The honors cap a memorable 2025 campaign for Cochise, which combined veteran leadership and freshman firepower to secure its second consecutive Region I postseason appearance.
