Cochise Rodeo Athletes Learn Draws for College National Finals Rodeo
CASPER, WYO. — Five Cochise College Rodeo student-athletes are preparing to represent the Apaches on collegiate rodeo's biggest stage after learning their competition draws for the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.
The CNFR, scheduled for June 14-20, brings together the nation's top collegiate rodeo competitors following successful regional qualifying campaigns. Cochise enters the event with representation in Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, and Barrel Racing.
Taten Erickson
After earning Reserve Grand Canyon Region Champion honors in Steer Wrestling and being named the region's All-Around Cowboy, Erickson will compete in multiple events during the week. His Steer Wrestling performances are scheduled for June 15, June 16, and June 17, while he will compete in Tie Down Roping on June 18.
Sealey Bottom
One of the region's most versatile competitors this season, Bottoms qualified for the CNFR in both Goat Tying and Barrel Racing. She is scheduled to compete on June 15, June 16, and June 17 as she looks to build on a spring season that included multiple top finishes and a Grand Canyon Region qualification in two events.
Teran Broderson
Broderson enters the national finals after earning Reserve Grand Canyon Region Champion honors in Saddle Bronc Riding. His CNFR schedule includes performances on June 14 and June 16, including a featured performance on June 16.
Braulio Barraza
The Grand Canyon Region Champion Bull Rider will look to continue his dominant season in Casper. Barraza is slated to compete on June 14, June 16, and June 18 as he seeks a national title after capturing multiple event victories throughout the spring season.
Macie Fowlie
Fowlie qualified for the CNFR in both Goat Tying and Breakaway Roping following another standout year for the Apaches. Her competition schedule begins with Breakaway Roping on June 14, followed by Goat Tying on June 15. She will compete in both events again on June 16, including a featured performance that day.
The week-long championship concludes with the CNFR Finals on Saturday, June 20. Any Cochise athlete who advances through preliminary competition will earn the opportunity to compete in the national finals round, which will be streamed live on ESPN+.
