Cochise falls to Arizona Western College 56-52 in tough road contest

YUMA, Ariz. — The Cochise Apaches Men's Basketball team lost a very hard-fought contest on the road Saturday to the Arizona Western College Matadors 56-52.

Cochise led 27-24 at halftime, but the Mat's used strong offensive rebounding and a stout defensive effort to secure the hard-fought win at home

Cochise is now 19-9 overall and 11-5 in NJCAA Region I play

Cochise will be back at home this Wednesday night to take on the Yavapai Roughriders in the Stronghold Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
