Cochise falls to Eastern Arizona College 74-64
DOUGLAS, Ariz. — The Cochise College Men's Basketball team had not lost at home this season, until last night as the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters came into the Cochise Stronghold Gymnasium and handed the Apaches their first loss at home this season.
Cochise came out and led for the first 10 minutes of the first half only to see the Gila Monsters take a 37-28 halftime lead. Cochise was able to cut the lead to one point. midway through the second half but could not contain the Gila Monsters in the latter parts of the contest.
Cochise was led by Sophomore MJ Clegg who tallied 19 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. Sophomore guard Isaiah Smith chipped in 11 points.
The Apaches are now 13-6 overall and 5-2 in ACCAC D1 play.
