Cochise blasts Community Christian College 137-61 in NJCAA Region I Contest
DOUGLAS, Ariz. — The Cochise College Apaches Men's Basketball team returned home Saturday and bounced back with a 137-61 trouncing of the Community Christian College Saints from Redlands, CA in the Stronghold Gymnasium.
Cochise jumped out to a 61-31 halftime lead and really turned it on in the second half, outscoring the Saints 76-30. Cochise had six players score in double digits and was led by sophomore Forward MJ Clegg who tallied 23 points and had seven rebounds in the win. Sophomore wing Ben Henderson had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman forward Naeem Colston came off the bench and almost had a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

"Our guys really did an outstanding job of sharing the ball, and we had good ball movement. Our team defense was very good in the second half as we held them to 29 percent from the floor in the second half."

Cochise Men's Basketball (7-3,1-1) is back on the road next Wednesday, December 11th, as they travel to the "House" to take on NJCAA Region I rival the Arizona Western Matadors (8-3,2-1) in Yuma, AZ. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
