Mandy Acuna provided the assist from the backline. About ten minutes later, Phoenix College scored off a replayed corner kick to tie the game at one. At the end of regular time, Cochise and Phoenix were tied 1-1 and heading into overtime. Just 6 minutes in, Phoenix College slipped behind the Apache defense to score and end the game. With nine shots each and after a hard-fought battle, Cochise falls to the #18 nationally ranked Phoenix College 2-1.
