Women’s soccer defends turf against Mesa

Saturday, October 6, the Cochise College Women’s Soccer Team played to defend their home turf against Mesa. Coming fresh off of a bitter tie, the Apaches were hungry for a victory, outshooting Mesa 10-3. Cochise was able to find their game-winning goal twenty-three minutes into the first half when a cross from Freshman Leticia Seabra would find its way off Sophomore Erika Cuevas’ chest and into the back of the net.

Although the Apaches presented possession and a relentless offense, they would only have the one goal, but it was enough to give them a 1-0 win ultimately.

Cochise is back on the road Tuesday, October 9, to challenge the Scottsdale Artichokes.
