The Cochise College Women’s Soccer Team took the home pitch Saturday, September 29 to challenge South Mountain for a mid-day match. The Apaches were composed off the whistle, connecting passes and keeping poised possession. Twelve minutes in, the first scoring opportunity would arise off a corner but went unfinished. After that, Cochise would lock it into the offense, totaling ten shots alone in the first half. Unable to find the back of the net, both teams set up for the second whistle with a washed score of 0-0.
The second half would follow suit, the Apaches pilling on the attack with no result to be shown on the scoreboard. The game would go into double overtime and ultimately resulted in a tie with the Cougars.
