Apaches lose hard-fought game in Tucson
The Cochise College Men’s basketball team battled Pima CC Saturday afternoon in a packed house on Pima’s west campus in Tucson. Cochise came up short losing a hard-fought battle 87-84. Pima shot a torrid 53.5% from the floor and made 8 threes in the first half. The loss dropped the Apaches out of first place in the ACCAC.
Cochise was led by Sophomores Caleb Highley and Chaz Mack who each tallied 20 points in the loss. Freshman, Mahki Morris added 19 points off the bench for the Apaches in the loss.
Cochise is now 12-3 overall and 5-2 in ACCAC play.
Cochise will travel to the Phoenix area on Wednesday to take on the always tough South Mountain Cougars. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
