The Apaches held the lead the rest of the game. They dominated the boards outrebounding Western by 20 while shooting 47% from the field.

“This was a good conference road win over a tough Division One opponent,” stated Coach Laura Hughes. “I was really happy with how the players executed our defensive game plan. We focused the last two days on taking away Western’s high low post game. We dominated the paint, which we knew would be the key to getting a win.”

The Apaches are now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in conference. Next up for the Apaches is a home game December 9, Saturday at 5:30 p.m. on the Douglas campus.
