Baseball takes Coyotes

The baseball team headed back to Henderson, Nevada to play four more games against quality competition just after 3 days of practice.

They College of Southern Nevada did not disappoint. The Apaches beat the Coyotes, once again, 7-3 behind Juan Cabrera’s efforts on the mound and clutch hitting by Max Draijer. Juan Cabrera ended up going 5.1 innings giving up 6 hits, 1 run and 1 earned run striking out 2 and walking 2. They scored 1 in the 4th on Tag Baxter solo home run, one in the 5th on Max Draijer RBI single and on the 6th on Jamori Blash RBI single to take a 3 run lead.

After the bullpen gave up 2 unearned runs to tie the game in the 8th, on a misplaced ball in the outfield, the Apaches would put a 4 spot in the 9th. Jacob Thoning RBI, Canice Ejoh push bunt RBI, and Max Draijer 2 RBI basehit. Jaime Yanchisin would close it out to secure the win for the Apaches.
