The baseball team headed back to Henderson, Nevada to play four more games against quality competition just after 3 days of practice.
They College of Southern Nevada did not disappoint. The Apaches beat the Coyotes, once again, 7-3 behind Juan Cabrera’s efforts on the mound and clutch hitting by Max Draijer. Juan Cabrera ended up going 5.1 innings giving up 6 hits, 1 run and 1 earned run striking out 2 and walking 2. It was not the greatest outing since he threw to many pitches, but he kept the team in the game working both sides of the plate and throwing up “zeros” on the scoreboard. The Apaches would begin their run, scoring in the 4th after the Coyotes pitcher had been keeping them off balance. They scored 1 in the 4th on Tag Baxter solo home run, one in the 5th on Max Draijer RBI single and on the 6th on Jamori Blash RBI single to take a 3 run lead.
